May 13, 2004 - Redmond, Washington, USA – Avitech introduces Cosmos, a control system with Graphical User Interface for configuration and editing of the virtual monitor wall. This Windows™ based software package is part of the new Media Command Center (MCC), which will be showcased at the upcoming InfoComm2004 trade show in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Booth #4347.

With the increasing amount of incoming video & audio signals into facilities, the challenge is to manage the display of all of this information. Along with the introduction of the Media Command Center (MCC) that can handle up to 960 video sources across 8 displays, it is very important to accompany this powerful hardware with a control system that has an intuitive user-friendly control system.

Cosmos is a Windows TM based program that can run on any PC or laptop with Microsoft Windows XP or 2000. This program allows the user to easily configure and edit presets for the virtual monitor wall system. When installed with the Avitech Controller under a single user interface, Cosmos can simultaneously control up to 8 display groups and have access to up to 960 images. Features such as audio monitoring for radio channels and tally management integration with industry leaders like Thomson Grass Valley and Omnibus makes it the most feature rich virtual monitor wall control system on the market.

Cosmos also has built-in alarm & fault reporting capabilities, and when coupled with AviNETTM SNMP option, it becomes a very powerful solution. Should the customer choose to use more traditional means of alarm reporting such as lights and audible alarms through the GPI interface, it can also be done very easily.
