Tang, a seasoned industry veteran with a commanding background
that includes engineering, applications, sales and marketing
has accepted the challenge to oversee Avitech’s worldwide
growth strategy.
Thomas’ strategy includes expanding the Company’s
technology partnerships, dealer, system integrator, and distribution
networks. In addition he will be responsible for all aspects
of promotion and marketing of Avitech’s brand, product
lines and market segments.
Prior to joining Avitech, Thomas held the position of Director
of Market Development for Thomson Grass Valley’s (2002-2004)
Server and Digital News Production, and (1999-2002) Media Network & Control
(Routers and Master Control) business units. During his tenure,
Thomas has consistently met and exceeded his revenue challenges;
his business units have also achieved significant growth in
developing regions such as China, Japan and South Korea. Most
notably, the recent installation of the world’s largest
digital news production system at SBS Korea. Thomson has dominant
worldwide market share in both the routers and servers/news
areas.
A graduate of University of Utah, Thomas holds master degrees
in Physics, Computers Science and received his executive training
from Harvard Business School. He joins Avitech as the Vice
President of Marketing and Sales.
