November 29, 2006 - Redmond, Washington, USA – After a recent and very successful launch of the VCC-8000 line of multi-format data modules, Avitech, an industry leader in multi-image display technology, is featuring this next-generation of Video Command Center at the upcoming GV Expo (Booth # 114) – Washington DC, December 6-7.  In addition, Avitech will be showing a sneak-peak of their new Rainier series of Professional Multiviewers.

The VCC-8000 will be showcased along with Avitech’s MCC-8004 media command center series of multiviewers in a variety of mission critical applications and demonstrations.  Individually or combined, these two series of multi-image display modules provide a reliable, flexible and scalable approach to facility-wide video and DVI/VGA monitoring.

The new VCC-8000 modules allow simultaneous DVI and VGA computer inputs as well as HDTV and analog video inputs to be displayed in high resolution up to 1920 x 1200.  With a single rack unit module, you can visually monitor YPbPr, S-Video, DVI, VGA, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI composite inputs. 

Plus, with its distributed architecture, the expansion for inputs is virtually unlimited.  A facility has the ability to purchase and use only what is required at present, with the option to expand their system as their monitoring needs grow.   A single VCC-8000 module provides up to 8 DVI / VGA / HDTV / NTSC / PAL inputs and 15 modules can be cascaded together for a much larger and integrated monitoring system.

Avitech multiviewers are considered feature-rich with an integrated on-screen display (OSD) that offers multiple language support including 2-byte characters, tally functionality, alarm reporting, and a variety of text label options.  The image processors offer incredibly high quality multi-image outputs, for the most mission-critical of monitoring applications.
Avitech multiviewers are being currently used in a variety of government applications, including; Law Enforcement, Military after-action review & simulation, surveillance, courtroom monitoring, traffic management, and a variety of US Army, US Navy, FBI, CIA, and a wide number of municipal video activities.
