Avitech Highlights Affordable & Scalable HD Multiviewer’s
At GVExpo 2007

October 19, 2007 - Redmond, Washington, USAAvitech International, provider of innovative and cost-effective multi-image display processors today announced their exhibition plans for the upcoming Government Video Expo 2007, November 14-16, Booth #226.

Avitech will be showcasing three product lines including; the industry-leading MCC-8004 Series, the VCC-8008 Universal Series, and the affordable Rainier Series.  The full Avitech product line has been designed to improve signal viewing and monitoring efficiency, and is being used today to display multiple video and audio sources in a large variety of applications, including mission-critical government environments.

Avitech’s Multiviewers offer an extremely high resolution, flexible, easy to use visual monitoring solution that allow facilities to discontinue use of more traditional, space-consuming CRT monitors. In addition to providing a virtual monitor wall, Avitech’s Multiviewers offer improvements in power consumption, reduction in cable usage, include standard UMD’s (under monitor displays), multiple tallies and alarms, analog and digital clock displays, and a variety of other useful features.

Plus, with Avitech’s open and distributed architecture, you can expand your system at any time to meet future needs.  You can start from a simple quad-split (4 inputs) to a virtually unlimited monitoring environment.  You can also combine virtually any source format on the displays, which includes composite, component, SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and DVI/VGA inputs without having to convert your sources.

Another unique feature of the Avitech line of Multiviewers is their “no single point of failure” design, where each module has its own independent input board, CPU, output board, audio processor and power supply. You will never experience catastrophic failure with an Avitech Virtual Monitor Wall System.

Avitech’s full series of Multiviewers accept 24Hz, 50Hz and 60Hz inputs to be displayed simultaneously on a single display or group of displays.  Also, they come standard with a developer’s kit that allows end users to create their own user environment with popular control interfaces from AMX, Crestron, or by using their own proprietary control interface.

“Our Multiviewers are currently being used in a variety of government applications including; Law Enforcement, Military after-action review & simulation, surveillance, courtroom monitoring, traffic management, and a variety of US Army, US Navy, FBI, CIA, and a wide number of municipal video activities,” comments Dave Campbell, US Eastern Regional Manager for Avitech. “We look forward to showcasing our enhanced feature set at this years GV Expo.”
