Avitech puts Broadcasters In Control with Launch of
New Media Command Center at NAB2005

Inventive Multi-Image Display Processors

February 12, 2005 - Redmond, Washington, USA – Avitech will be demonstrating their inventive and comprehensive line of multi-image display processors at the upcoming NAB2005 trade show in Las Vegas (Booth #SU9329). Avitech’s line of multi-source display processors are targeted to provide signal monitoring solutions which are ideal for mission critical and advanced monitoring applications such as Broadcast and Security & Surveillance applications. Avitech’s multi-image display processors are also well suited for applications within the Professional Audio Visual marketplace.

MCC-8000:
Avitech will be highlighting the new series of Media Command Center – The 8000 series (MCC-8000). The MCC is built around the latest MEDiTM technology developed by Avitech. With this unique open and distributed architecture, the Virtual Monitor Wall System offers users a mix & match module platform, allowing users to create a customized view to perfectly suite ones specific application needs.

The MCC-8000 is designed for a wide range of signal monitoring applications -- whether it is HD, SD, Analog Video, Analog audio, Digital Audio, Embedded Audio or computer generated graphics, signals can be shown on the same display. In addition, information features & status indicators such as audio meters, UMD's, labels, borders, tallies and alarms completes the virtual information display system. This unique Open and Distributed processing provides reliability and redundancy.

Users can configure the display processor by using Avitech’s various control software applications, such as Cosmos or Galaxy Control Software, via a simple front control panel. The open ASCII protocol also provides an easy interface for third party control systems.
Cosmos V4 Touch Panel Controller:

Intuitive, simple user-friendly Cosmos control software allows the user to easily configure and edit and recall presets and overall display configurations for the virtual monitor wall system. When installed with the Avitech Controller under a single user interface, Cosmos can simultaneously control up to 50 display groups and have access to up to 6,000 images. The Cosmos control software Cosmos also has built-in alarm & fault reporting capabilities, and when coupled with AviNETTM SNMP option, it becomes a very powerful solution.
Other New features at NAB2005 include:

• Multiple onscreen audio meters – up to 4 pairs
• Built-in alarm & fault reporting capabilities via either SNMP or GPI/O
• Multiple on screen alarms, including 3rd party alarms via external trigger such SNMP and GPI
• HD Embedded audio and audio phase correlation display
